Ever notice a surge in popularity on a platform and find yourself feeling intimidated because there are so many other people and you can see that there are some who:
– Have big personalities
– Have a following they can bring over
– Have more experience
– Have more to offer
– Have a circle of influencers to boost them fast
How the hell can little old you stand out, build a tribe and get results?
Maybe the fact you can see so many great people jumping on board and making waves on Instagram is making you feel that way now.
I’m going to share with you 3 things to help you combat that feeling and pave your way to success.
Before I get into this, I’ll let you in on a secret.
I’m writing this for myself as much as I’m writing it for you.
Quite simply because this is something I too need to drill into my head and remember.
Sometimes the advice we have for others is also the advice we most need for ourselves.
Without further ado, here’s the 3 things to remember.
1. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE YOU
Your style, your presence, your opinions and most importantly your stories are what make you unique.
They are powerful weapons in your arsenal to draw your tribe to you.
They are the reasons why people will choose you over other people.
Even if you’re smaller than the big fish.
Sure, size helps. You’ll get there.
For now you got the motion of your ocean working it’s magic.
I can see you sat there reading this rolling your eye’s.
I’d do the same.
You’ve heard it all before.
Problem is, you don’t think you’re good enough.
Keep on reading to find out why that’s ok.
2. OTHERS ARE THINKING THE SAME
You think you’re the only one feeling that way? You’re wrong!
Plenty of others have the exact same thoughts running through their heads.
Those thoughts will cause them to second guess, hold back and stop posting altogether.
As long as you’re not one of them, that leaves more room for you to find your feet and begin dominating
Wanna know why?
3. LONG-TERM CONSISTENCY WINS THE GAME
This is the biggie.
The one thing that makes all the difference.
Long term consistency always wins.
Everyone smashing it (even the “overnight successes”) have this in common.
They have been putting themselves out there again and again generating momentum as they go.
Putting yourself out there again and again & outlasting all the other doubters is the key to breaking through, developing your voice and generating massive influence.
When Dan speaks about organic growth and being yourself, he asks you to do one thing.
Scroll back on his profile to a couple years back and see the difference.
Even he hasn’t always been as much “Dan” as he is now.
That’s come through consistency.
Consistency builds your tribe, your voice and your confidence.
The only thing between where you are now and being able to create the same level of impact is relentless consistency over the long term.
Go forth & multiply your influence
